Students who are in the 11th and 12th grades may choose to participate in the Post Secondary Enrollment Options program (PSEO). To apply for PSEO, students should contact the admissions office of the post secondary institution of their choice. Those institutions have the necessary forms.
If a home school student qualifies for the post secondary institution they want to attend, they do not need to enroll in a public high school in order to participate.
The parents will fill out the parent and the high school section of the PSEO form provided by the institution. The post secondary institution will forward it to the State of Minnesota. If you have questions, call Jacqui McKenzie at the MN Department of Education (651) 582-8324.
